What are we up to?

It has been an exciting time here for Besides the Road Ministries. There have been multiple developments that we want to share! Within the month of November, we have taken on a new staff person, begun to incorporate volunteers into our weekly tutoring services, and have seen the Lord working in more ways that we can begin to describe.

Through these amazing developments, we seek to still meet the high demand we have from the community. There is still so much to be done. Our current goals are: Read more “What are we up to?” →

My experience at Beside the Road Ministries

Beside the Road Ministries has been such a huge part of my life the past three summers. The ministry has given me the opportunity to share Christ’s love by coming alongside the kids at the trailer park to help and encourage them with their schoolwork. So many of the parents do not speak English and are unable to help their children. With each tutoring session, we do a Bible story and related craft to teach them God’s Word so Christ’s love can grow in their hearts. I love the bond that I have built with the kids and the feeling I get when I go back to the trailer park and they run up to me with a hug. They truly bless me with more joy than I am able to give to them.
